Saunders were appointed to undertake the detailed design and construction detailing of this multi-phase development for Barratt Homes. The development comprises 350 dwellings including private sale and housing association homes, built to HQI, Lifetime Homes and Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 standards. Totalling 5 phases, the first phase started on site in 2012 with the final phases completed in 2016.

This award-winning development features bespoke house and flat types based on a contemporary design approach that respects the local vernacular. High quality detailing was essential to delivering the intended vision and a close dialogue with Cambridge City Council’s Design Officer was required to ensure the successful discharge of the design-based planning conditions.
