Following extensive negotiations with several stakeholder parish councils over 2 years, and through the development of the Design Code for this parcel, Saunders successfully achieved Reserved Matters approval for this Build to Rent PRS project, on part of the Arborfield Garrison development.
The proposals respond to a neighbouring land parcel, and sensitively consider open space and the ecological setting. The scheme comprises 114 one and two bedroom apartments over five blocks and includes the creation of new pedestrian routes to and from the site. The orientation of the plan clearly defines the edges of the site, creates a sense of entry and provides unobstructed views of private open spaces to help ensure resident security. The proposals ensure character and interest within the overall site masterplan, which is adjacent to the development’s future District Centre.
